Floyd Buelleur
Former Mall Manager for Canary Properties
A broken man. The former mall manager whose life has been defined by loss, regret, and resilience. Once a charismatic leader, Floyd’s world crumbled after the tragic death of his wife and the mall’s slow decline. Demoted to security guard, he clings to the ruins of the mall, haunted by its dark history and his own failures.

Florence
Former WWII Lead Scientist / Cult Founder + Overseer
The cunning and manipulative leader of an immortality cult, forged from the ashes of a WWII experiment. Viewing herself as humanity's shepherd, she seeks to transcend mortality by erasing emotions she deems weaknesses, embodying control, temptation, and moral decay.

Officer Wallace
Former WWII Officer / Cult Underboss to Florence
A former high-ranking soldier turned immortal, burdened by the loss of his humanity and family. Initially loyal to the cult, his strong moral core drives him to question their purpose, ultimately making him a reluctant ally in the fight against their corruption.

Simon Buelleur
Adopted Son of Floyd & Donna
Brought into Floyd and Donna's life under unusual circumstances, Simon doesn’t fight, scheme, or dominate others. Instead, he represents stillness, foresight, and wisdom. He is part of something greater. His presence often mirrors that of Simon the Zealot, one of Christ’s apostles — a prophetic figure called to guide others toward a higher purpose.

Donna Buelleur
Wife of Floyd
A pragmatic yet deeply sensitive mother, striving to hold her family together amidst unsettling tension. Fiercely protective of her son Simon, she is torn between her husband Floyd’s dismissive attitude and her growing concerns about Simon’s disturbing drawings and cryptic behavior.

Robbie
Mall Employee
Robbie is a hardworking, lighthearted staff member at the mall. Robbie faces challenges in an environment resistant to change and prejudice, and is often caught in the crossfire of tensions within the mall. Robbie remains dedicated to his work and to the bond he shares with Floyd, even as the mall’s future becomes uncertain.

Henry Manning
Vice President of Canary Properties / Cult Member
The egotistical and manipulative Vice President of Canary Properties, driven by insecurity and a hunger for power. Privileged but incompetent, he resents Floyd for his practical success and Mr. Canary’s favor. After joining the immortality cult to secure his status, Henry becomes a symbol of corporate greed and moral decay. His arrogance blinds him to Floyd’s true potential (or danger).

J.P. Canary
CEO of Canary Properties
Owner of Canary Properties Group and responsible for the creation of the Dixie-Five Mall. A larger-than-life figure in his late 70s, he is a mentor to Floyd, valuing ingenuity and loyalty over corporate politics. Despite his success, J.P. fails to see the darker aspects of the mall. His death in 1979 leaves a void in the company, paving the way for corrupt forces like Henry Manning to rise.

Tom Claude
Former Assistant Mall Manager / Cult Member
Tom Claude, an incompetent former assistant manager of the Dixie-Five Mall, was promoted by Floyd in the late 70s despite his lack of credentials and history of blunders. Vanishing mysteriously in 1978, he resurfaces in 1981, transformed by the immortality cult into a youthful, arrogant figure. Now flaunting his newfound confidence, Tom’s paranoia and loyalty to the cult create mounting tension and suspicion with Floyd.

Amanda Jones
Businesswoman / Cult Member
A former acquaintance of Floyd, once a minor figure in the social scene of the Dixie-Five Mall. In her younger years, she was a flirtatious, somewhat vain character who didn't shy away from her charms. Now, years later, she has become a prominent figure in a new, powerful social circle backed by the cult. As a well-connected and influential woman, her charisma and relationships now place her in elite circles that Floyd struggles to understand.
